Cassarate

Cassarate is a village in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland, today a quarter of the city of Lugano.

Cassarate is located in the former municipality Castagnola.[1] In 1972 Castagnola municipality was incorporated into its larger neighboring municipality Lugano.

There is also a river Cassarate in Lugano.
