Casola Valsenio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ravenna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 km southeast of Bologna and about 50 km southwest of Ravenna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,843 and an area of 84.4 km².[1]
The municipality of Casola Valsenio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Zattaglia, Baffadi, S.Apollinare, Valsenio, and Mercatale.
Casola Valsenio borders the following municipalities: Borgo Tossignano, Brisighella, Castel del Rio, Fontanelice, Palazzuolo sul Senio, Riolo Terme.
