Casnigo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 70 km northeast of Milan and about 20 km northeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,346 and an area of 49.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Casnigo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Serio, Colle Bondo, Barbata, Grumello, and Case Sparse (partially; the other part lies in Colzate).
Casnigo borders the following municipalities: Gandino, Cazzano Sant'Andrea, Vertova, Colzate, Ponte Nossa, Cene, Gorno, Fiorano al Serio.
