Casio G-Shock Mudman

A series of Casio G-Shock watches that are specialised with both shock resistance and a sealed case to prevent ingress of foreign particles, such as oil, dust or mud.

The unit features sealed controls unique to this model along with an oversized case to protect the movement. The Mudman has proved popular among collectors and is one of the more sought after watches in the G-Shock range, rivalling the Frogman for its appeal.

Casio G-Shock Mudman models include:

  • DW8400 Mudman
  • GW9000 Mudman (Atomic Solar model with 1000 hr chronograph)
  • G9000 Mudman (dual 1000 hr chronograph with Dual Illuminator)

Casio G-Shocks models that also utilize the mud-resistant case/bezel:

  • AW571 / AW571 Gaussman (anti-magnetic analog/digital combo)
  • DW8500 Codename (uses the same bezel as DW8400 Mudman)
  • DW9300 / DW9350 Raysman (first solar powered G-Shock)

These models utilize screws instead of conventional springbars to secure the straps. They also feature over-sized buttons that's operatable with gloves or adverse condition.
