Casinokontanter.com is the online gambling company behind the Danish casino portal Casino.dk and the PokerNordica.com online poker room. It is headquartered in Malta and owned by private investors. Casinokontanter.com was founded in 2004 as a casino review site and a couple of years later poker was introduced as well.
Casinokontanter.com was founded in 2004 but existed under a slightly different name since 2001. The original name Casino-kontanter.dk A/S later became Casinokontanter.com (Supplies) LTD in 2004, when the company left Denmark for Malta.
The PokerNordica poker room was launched in 2007. The poker room is powered by Australian software provider Merge Gaming.[1] It is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
In 2006 many of the online poker operations pulled out of the US market following the passing of anti-gambling measures in the Safe Port Act, but PokerNordica still accepts US players.
