Casimir Catholic College is a Years 7-12 co-educational College in Marrickville, Australia. It developed in 1983 from the amalgamation of De La Salle College and St Brigid’s Girls’ School, themselves landmarks in Marrickville since the 1930s.
The College exists to meet the educational needs of children from Marrickville and surrounding suburbs. It has a rich tradition, steeped in the values and customs of the three orders: the Good Samaritan Sisters, the De La Salle Brothers and the Passionist Fathers.
The College is renowned for its genuine sense of community, its friendly campus, and the quality relationships which exist between students, staff, and families. The College is located in a very multi cultural part of Sydney and this adds greatly to the richness and diversity of the school’s culture.
The College also has a close connection with each of its four feeder primary schools through the 'Marrickville District Catholic Schools Council'. This structure has resulted in a genuine commitment between the schools to work cooperatively to ensure that a genuine K-12 educational perspective is provided for the students in this region of inner Sydney.
The Founder of the School was Father Casimir Maguire and he is who gave the school its name.
