[edit] Character
He appears to be arrogant, over-confident and self-centered, however courageous and head-strong. He drives like a maniac and seldom takes off his dark glasses. He also is nicknamed Detective Shades.
He made his debuts in "JTV" (Season 2) and in "Cash for Toys" (Season 3).
[edit] Appearances
In "JTV", he is partnered up with Ellen Yin, who at that time has already been extended a secret partnership with Batman himself.
When the Joker strikes and kidnaps Mayor Grange, Cash runs into the action despite warnings from Yin. He ends up being gassed by the Joker and rescued by the Batman. At the end of the show, he resigns from field work and takes a simple desk job instead, stating he needed a "break".
In "Cash for Toys", he returns to act as a bodyguard for Bruce Wayne, whose life is being threatened by Cosmo Krank, an evil toymaker who is out to get Bruce for shutting down his company of dangerous toys.
However, Cash, Bruce's "wing-man", as he called himself, failed miserably in his duty, earning anger from Commissioner James Gordon, the chief of the Gotham City Police Department. However, the Batman, remembering Cash's admirable display of courage back at the fight, put in a good word for him.
The episode ends with Cash asking the Batman whether he wants to do a partnership with him. When the Batman answers by taking off without a reply, Cash moves away, saying that's good, because he "prefers working alone".
