Casey Kelso (born August 17, 1957) is a fictional character who appeared on the long-running comedy series That '70s Show as the older brother of Michael Kelso. He was played by Luke Wilson.
Casey first appeared in the fourth season of the series. Though a little flaky, he quickly wins over the newly single Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon) and they start dating, much to the chagrin of Donna's former boyfriend Eric Forman, who openly objects in light of how Kelso's relationship with Jackie was in perpetual Hell, something he didn't want to see Donna fall into.
Charming, athletic and handsome, Donna thought Casey was a real prince charming and the best boyfriend a girl could ask for—she even believed him when he said he loved her—but in reality, he was just another oversexed frat brother who just wanted to nail Donna and then move on to the next hot girl. Eric tried to warn Donna that this was a mistake, but Donna blithley ignored him. Later when Donna was seen drunk in the middle of a school day with Casey at the Hub, Kitty got together with Donna's dad Bob and Red to put an end to their relationship. When push came to shove, with Eric overseeing the proceedings, Casey quickly gave in and agreed to break up with Donna—rather, dumping her in front of her friends and family. Casey lazily explained to the shocked and confused Donna that their relationship had gotten to be too much of a hassle, and lazily admitted that he really never loved her to begin with.
The shock of her sudden realization of Casey's true nature along with her own poor judgment and over confidence, coupled with being subsequently rejected by Eric, who refused to be her "second choice" left Donna in so much emotional turmoil that she fled to California to crash with her mother. Eric later came to California looking for her and he and Donna reunited as a couple.
He reappears in the season 6 episode My Wife, when he climbs out of the window of a trailer next to Eric and Donna's after having sex with a married woman, then is revealed to work at the strip club where Donna and Jackie take Kitty for Donna's bachelorette party. This same night, he stays at the Formans' for the night, pretending to be sleeping in Eric's room while in fact sleeping with Laurie.
He returns in episode 21 of season 7 (2120 So. Michigan Ave), when Eric finds out he didn't graduate because he never passed gym. When he goes to class (summer school PE), he finds out that Casey Kelso is the gym coach. Casey agrees to pass him if Donna goes out with him. Eric is excited at the prospect of passing gym without having to do pull-ups, angering Donna. In the end, he impresses his girlfriend in front of Casey, and he backs off.
Casey and his brother Michael are in a constant fight. For example, Casey once locked up Michael in a stinky closet full of dead fish to make him cry. Michael, as for him, retaliates by spitting in Casey's socks while he's gone or sleeping naked in his bed after a couple of days without taking a shower.
Casey holds Point Place High's Rushing Record for football. He also is famous for his Trans-Am. When Donna says that she loves the Trans-Am Casey replies "everybody does" referring to other girls.
