Casey Anne Burgess was born in Sydney, Australia on the 19th of December 1988 at 1.30pm into a showbiz family, her mother Jenny an outstanding dancer and father Ray a former "pop star" become singer and television presenter. Ray says she was born singing " a gentle and warm humming sound" so was destined to follow the music highway. A very happy and outgoing child, Casey attended Truscott Street Primary School in North Ryde and was an enthusiastic student who loved sport and music, learning some basic violin and clarinet and playing in the school band. She was involved early in dancing, drama and singing classes on weekends while Mum was teaching elsewhere in the building at Brent Street Studios. Casey featured in many commercials, films and television productions as a child but it was her role as one of the orphans in the stage musical Annie at age 12 that lit the fire to perform inside her. She said singing onstage with a live audience lit a huge light inside her, confirming what all great performers know, that's the light that makes a performer shine. Casey attended Riverside Girls High School and furthered her studies in music along with some fine academic results. During year 9 Casey took time out from her studies to be part of the young female ensemble in the Southern Star television series "Girl TV" a weekday magazine entertainment package looking at all things girly. An offshoot of the show was a music CD released by Sony, which was a great learning experience. Weekends were still taken up with performance study, and many music appearances continued, culminating with a vocal rendition of the Dixie Chick's Top of The World at the Sydney Opera House in her HSC year. After graduating with Honours in music in 2006 Casey took to songwriting and guitar seriously and some noteworthy shows with Anne Kirkpatrick and The Brewster Brothers were seen in Sydney, the show at the famous Basement a standout. Bigger things were around the corner!

Casey is currently a member of children's band Hi-5, replacing Charli Delaney. She is now the third replacement member, after Sun Park and Stevie Nicholson.
