[edit] License tagging for Image:School02.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:School02.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:09, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate material to Image text areas. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. DMacks 18:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. DMacks 18:27, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello, about your recent contributions
Welcome!
Hello, Carlpeterson, and welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
- Use the Sandbox to experiment with Wiki-markup
In addition, you are encouraged (but not required) to cite your sources. Wikipedia:Citation templates has some useful fill-in-the-blank type things that may make that easier, but feel free not to use them if you find them confusing.
You may want to look at some of Wikipedia's best work to get an idea of what we are aiming at.
You are invited to use your userpage to tell us a little about yourself; yours is here.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on this page (which is your talk page) and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Your recent contributions show a fundemental lack of understanding as to what Wikipedia is. Please puruse some of the links above, and ask me if you have any questions. Articles such as "Meaning phrases assist learning" are not generally considered acceptable in Wikipedia because they are original research promoting one person's ideas. Also, Wikipedia does not have by-lines on articles, and it is silly to upload the same image under many names and not use it anywhere. Perhaps, if you are interested in education, you could help by improving some of our existing articles; provided you use published sources to do so. Alternatively, if you would like a place to discuss and promote your theories, try Wikia. Again, if you have questions ask me and I'll be glad to help you. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Handwriting by Carl Peterson
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Handwriting by Carl Peterson, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
[edit] Editing Privileges revoked
Upon discovering that you've placed the promotional blurb from your web site in three articles, two talk pages, and three image pages (with the image used clearly being a prop), I've removed your editing privileges. You are clearly here not to help write Wikipedia but solely to advertise yourself and your products. Uncle G 19:40, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
