Carlosr,

You didn't offend me in any way at all. As I said I have been trying to make AMLO's article more neutral, but it has been hard with anonymous guys like 64.108... watching over my shoulder. I agree with you that we have to do our best to make sure we don't get the PRI back in the presidency, be it via the old PRI or the "new" PRI that now calls itself the PRD. I'm not as convinced as you are that the PAN is the best for our country, but it's the best option we have today. Still, one does his best with what he has at hand.

So please do not act all offended and go and make some edits to AMLO's article that no one can undo! goddamit!

Ignacio

Please keep jokes off the article mainspace. Thanks -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 13:52, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Great image

Hi, Carrlosr. Did you took this picture yourself? --Abu Badali 14:28, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Well...

You're welcome, yes I put a lot of work in a really messy (or empty) article.

P. S. Why can Drew Barrymore's article have a main picture of fair use when she has other that is free?

Carlosr chill 22:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

How did you took that photo? Where you in a helicopter?
Whenever a free alternative is available, it should be used. Where's this free image of Drew Barrymore you're talking about?
Best regards, --Abu Badali 23:19, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
A helicopter?! NO WAY! I was in my private jet of course...
Ok, I give up, I found that image in Google, as I suppose you havee guessed by now. So what do I do? Do I just take it off the article? Or can someone erase it from Wikipedia now? Can you?
The Drew Barrymore thing was just something I read in Shakira's talk page, 'cause that's not a very flattering picture of her.
P. S. Sorry for putting this message in your user page first, I hadn't notice that it wasn't your talk page.
Carlosr chill 23:27, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I appreciate your honesty and good humor. We need more people like you here in Wikipedia. The best thing to do at this point is to mark the image for deletion. You can do that by adding {{Db-author}} to the image description page. Some admin will eventually notice the warning and remove the image.
If you know of any free image of Drew Barrymore or Shakira (or any other celebrity), upload it to commons and add it to the relevant Wikipedia article ASAP. Thanks, --Abu Badali 23:36, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Xcaret1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Xcaret1.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 16:17, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Ángel_rest_d.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ángel_rest_d.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Occ grand xcaret logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Occ grand xcaret logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] License tagging for Image:Skyline santa fe1.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Skyline santa fe1.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:11, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Diana_night.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Diana_night.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 15:56, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Torre Mayor

Hi! I noticed you restored your picture of Torre Mayor to the article after I reverted it. Since I see you took the picture yourself, I'd like to ask you to get another one to correct a couple of details; in the current picture the building is slanted to the right and a part of it is cut from the picture. Also, since Torre Mayor itself hasn't changed much (or at least, none of the changes are visible in those pictures anyway) I believe the picture being newer doesn't by itself make it better. Remember the article is about Torre Mayor, not Reforma, so the building should be featured prominently and centrally in the picture.

Please let me know when you find the time to take a new picture.

Thanks! Roadmr (t|c) 22:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Logo Xcaret.gif

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo Xcaret.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mtvla05.gif)

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:La salle mx logo.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:La salle mx logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
