Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Galápagos Islands. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Eve Hall (talk) 10:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Moremi Game Reserve. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Eve Hall (talk) 13:02, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] External links
Hi, I'm responding to your message to me in the edit summary on the Masai Mara page: "Dear Eve Hall, this is no more comercial than all the other links in this page, if you remove ours you will have to remove all the links there that are from travel companies, I will contact the modera[tor]".n You are indeed correct that the page contained other commercial links, I have now removed these too. I apologise if the removal of just your link seemed unfair, but it does not alter the fact that the links you are adding are against Wikipedia's policy on external links. Namely, "Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services". In particular, guidelines also state that Inclusion of one spam link is not a reason to include another. Please read the policies on external links, spamming external links and conflicts of interest. If you feel pages from which I removed your link have other commercial links on, you are of course entitled to remove them too. Hope you now understand why I have been removing your links. If you need to clarify policy further, feel free to ask at the helpdesk. Eve Hall (talk) 14:16, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I don't have any strong feeling about ther's links, but if you remove ours you should clean the whole website, otherwise don't remove just our links.
- Yes, I've done that for several of the pages now. But it takes a lot longer to go through every link on a page and check each one adheres to policy, and I only have so much time. I'm not showing favouritism towards the other links, and as I said, you're welcome to remove them if you feel it's unfair that your competitors have links but you don't. Nevertheless, the links you are adding are not permitted and will be removed. To quote the policy:
-
Many times users can be confused by the removal of spam links because other links that could be construed as spam have been added to the article and not yet removed. The inclusion of a spam link should not be construed as an endorsement of the spam link, nor should it be taken as a reason or excuse to include another. WP:SPAM

I don't have any problem to have our links remove if you remove all similar links when you do it. I do think the links are informative and don't contain any promotional material, I think it is healthy that companies like our and the ones you been removing links from put their links there, because our websites offer further information to readers that is not found and can't be found in in Wikipedia.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Serengeti. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Laikipia District, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. Dekisugi (talk) 09:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Can you answer the question, why you remove ourlinks and not the other commercial links in the same pages, they offer the same product we do and our use of the media is not harmful to anyone more than theirs, however they have been there for years. Please do explain to me that.
- You have been warned before with links. If you read those guideline links, then you know who is a spammer, what is spam and what can and cannot be added as external links. Dekisugi (talk) 10:52, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- I will say same thing I said before, remove all commercial links together with ours otherwise it is nonsense. (Carloscuzme (talk) 10:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC))
