[edit] Categories

Hello. I've noticed that some of your contributions aren't doing categories correctly. Basically, you want to type [[Category:1928 films]] at the bottom of the article so that it will both link to the category and file the article in the category. More info at Wikipedia:Category. [edit] West Point; 1928 MGM film

Please don't recreate articles that already exist - especially ones that you started: West Point (1928 film). Also, please check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines before starting new articles, it will save everyone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Films a lot of work. [edit] Formatting problems?

It may behoove you to take a glance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines:

  • None of the articles that you created have references (which means they can be deleted outright if someone tags them as "non-referenced").
  • The "Category" on each one is incorrect (just copy [[Category:1928 films]] (without the 'nowiki' stuff) and change the date. It needs the : there to set it off correctly
  • At least three of them have been named incorrectly (West Point (1928 film) and Paid (1930 film) and Chained (1934 film)
  • the "piping [ [ and ] ] isn't used for the title of the film within the article - simply use (five single quotes) on either end of the title.

You can take a look at Today We Live, Letty Lynton, The Duke Steps Out, Our Modern Maidens, etc. to see what the correct formatting should be.

If you find it easier, you can just cut & paste the appropriate information from one article to another. If you need additional assistance in formatting, just leave a note on my talk page, I'll be glad to help. SkierRMH 07:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moved a page

Hi - I noticed that you created The Last Mrs. Cheney, but that name didn't match the name of the play - which, according to your article was The Last of Mrs. Cheyney - so, I moved the page so that the article was at The Last of Mrs. Cheyney. Feel free to revert if I was wrong. I put redirects up as well. Philippe 21:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Strange Cargo; 1940 MGM film

Hi. I've moved Strange Cargo; 1940 MGM film to Strange Cargo (film) as this is the typical naming for films. Cheers. --EarthPerson 20:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

You didn't listen to thing I said did you? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 20:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I do appreciate your help, thanks for the advice.

Carlitos41

Clearly you didn't listen to me as you created Reunion in France in the same way as the others last night. I have now also cleaned this page -this is four or five articles now I've had to sort out. As I said before I think its great you are trying to fill in the gaps but please try to copy the pages as they are now -it saves other users having to chase things up later. Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:56, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

I put the 1957 film up for deletion until it can be done properly.I'll have to start it again later ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:52, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I deleted The Story of Esther Costello from wikipedia. But restarted it in the way it should done. Please follow the guidelines to style. I don't know how many times I have to communicate with you. Film articles go in more than just Category:1957 films anyway. I don't want to have to keep on at you any more. If you try to take my advice ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 11:15, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Goodbye My Fancy as well -can't you see the difference? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 11:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
