- Welcome is a good place to start.
- Wikipedia:Tutorial runs through all the basics.

- Wikipedia:Help desk is a place to ask questions.
- Wikipedia:Show preview explains how to double-check your edits before saving.
- Wikipedia:Etiquette outlines the proper Wikiquette, to use when writing and discussing articles on Wikipedia.

Drop me a question on my Talk Page at User talk:Mac Davis, I should respond fairly quickly.
Wikipedia is also big on not infringing copyrights, don't learn it the hard way. Wikipedia also has a zero-tolerance Wikipedia:Vandalism policy. Even though we give you 4 chances to be good.
Happy editing, — [Mac Davis] (talk) (Desk|Help me improve)
[edit] Wikipedians FROM Texas
VOTE to keep Category:Wikipedians from Texas from merging with Category:Wikipedians in Texas. Being FROM Texas is not necessarily the same as being IN Texas. --Renice 14:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Geysers
Hi Carl. Hope you didn't think I wasn't interested in helping you on the Geyser article I see you are working on. I was preoccupied with other matters here on Wikipedia. Let me know if there is anything else you need.--MONGO 21:33, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello Carl!
I am a fairly new wikipedian and am hoping that I may use some of your userboxes. Particularly the Native Texan and the English is my first language boxes. May I please have your permission?

[edit] Welcome to WP:Shipwrecks!
Hello and welcome to WP:Shipwrecks. You might want to consider also joining WP:SHIPS as the majority of article structure, terminology standards, templates, etc. used in SHIPWRECKS articles are developed in conjunction with SHIPS. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note - I am a member of both projects. Look forward to seeing you around! Maralia 19:23, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, offline publication, article improvement contests, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
- The project has a stress hotline available for your use.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Eurocopter tigre 19:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
