apology

your right of course, i tend to get a bit pigheaded, and ie been gone for so long that i plum forgot about diplomacey like this. sorryKaraveks voice 02:59, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

4chan and Hal Turner

I reverted this not only because you fucked up, but because the article is solely about 4chan and its /b/. 7chan, iichan, etc. all have /b/ boards, I know. However, the term "/b/tard" originated from the existance of the board at 4chan, and while there is nothing in the article that states 4chan's /b/ was the only group of /b/tards that perpetrated the attack, it would be wrong to say that there were other boards affiliated (when we know that there is).—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 23:55, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Signature

I just like the X with the symbol better in ex link form, with the arrow. :) The anti-ex link-signature rule is to keep people from having lists of external links in their signatures of say, their myspace, or facebook, or personal website, or livejournal, or blog, or instant messenger screenname, IRC, their favorite websites, and such. Revisions made to Movie Battles

I have undone your revision made to the article 'Movie Battles' because the previous information is actually correct. Your revision would've been correct in B17 of the game, but not in B18. Thanks.Gab.popp 08:00, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Your re-revision of the article is excellent. Thanks for the cleanup Gab.popp 21:48, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Simon Hancock

There's an excellent reason to blank the page, namely that this is Wikipedia, not a job-seeking serfice, and not a place for posting resumes. Please read the blanked version before restoring any of it, because, if you restore it, you're responsible for it, simply because you chose to submit it to Wikipedia. Whatever you restore, make sure it's verifiable, notable, and the like. Thanks. KP Botany 04:01, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I found it difficult to make out any information on the blanked version. Is that because of my browser, or should I get a new computer? ;_; V-Man737 04:42, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Was that sarcasm? :D --Wooty Woot? contribs 05:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm being serious, there's nothing on the blanked version! Well, okay, a couple of templates, but no information about this "Simon" feller. V-Man737 05:55, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm so confused. :3 --Wooty Woot? contribs 06:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Where does it say that, that a page should not be blanked just because it's up for deletion? I blanked one that was a grade schooler calling his/her classmate a f#*$ing c*^$ once. You mean, that should have stayed up for all to see? Please point me to the policy that says this so I can debate this issue with people, because I have never heard that inappropriate material should be left up just because it's proposed for deletion. Thanks. KP Botany 15:34, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Anyway, God forbid I'd remove crap like, "and mops a variety of floors at independent radio stations across the South West of England. ... now also training himself to self-shoot (ooo-er missus) and also to edit film for TV documentaries on teapots, a subject close to his little heart." KP Botany 15:38, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that sounds more like WP:-) than "f#*$ing c*^$." I got a good laugh out of it. V-Man737 17:20, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
It says in WP:GD. "You and others are welcome to continue editing the article during the discussion period. Indeed, if you can address the points raised during the discussion by improving the article, you are encouraged to edit a nominated article (noting in the discussion that you have done so if your edits are significant ones).

There are, however, a few restrictions upon how you may edit an article:

  • You must not blank the article (unless it is a copyright infringement)." --Wooty Woot? contribs 18:51, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Wow! Thanks. That's awesome. I'll make sure I don't delete any deletable crap any more. Awesome! V-Man, yes, pretty funny, maybe it isn't really him trying to post his resume! KP Botany 01:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Find another talk page to troll on, please. I don't mind deleting deletable crap. I do mind blanking deletable crap so it makes AfD visitors have to search through history to find the contents of the article, or to avoid having a db-empty tag slapped on it. --Wooty Woot? contribs 01:24, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
        • Troll? Actually, I thought your answer was straight forward and direct, and revealed the problem was in the policy. I do understand, though, how hard it was to search for the one post of 6 that said "Deleted the text" to find the contents of the article, as I sometimes stuggle with lengthy edit histories also. I'll remember to say I blanked crap in the edit summary, instead of saying I deleted crap next time, to make you happy though. KP Botany 01:53, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

NPWatcher approval

You've been approved to use NPWatcher. Please give me any feature requests or bugs. I'm also happy to help if you have any problems running the program, or any questions :). Before you run the program, please check the changelog on the application page to see if I've made a new release (or just add the main page (here) to your watchlist). Finally, enjoy! Martinp23 17:26, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi - that probably occured because someone made an edit while you were considering the page, leading to an edit conflict (ie - you were marking an old version of the page). It's likely to have just been a minor edit by someone, but because of problems with double tagging and recreations of deleted content in the past, I've written that "feature" into it. Ah, I see you found that conversation about my username. If you want to know exactly what the name means, it says on my userpage. :) Acalamari 19:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

So essentially, It's a trap!!!!!!!. --Wooty Woot? contribs 23:38, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, that is one of the reasons. I have not eaten squid before, but squid themselves are very interesting animals. The Mon Calamarian people are all quite interesting too. Acalamari 23:41, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Comment

"It doesn't really matter if the person is famous or interesting to be on Wikipedia."

Yes, it does. Please see WP:V and WP:N. --Wooty Woot? contribs 01:13, 2 February 2007 (UTC)"

I meant that they don't need to be A list celebrities or something to be on Wikipedia. Sorry for not explaining this in my comment.BJ Humiston 02:19, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Re:Esperanza revival

Sorry for the late reply, I am quite busy these days. Well, in Geo's user talk, you stated that the other users disagree with Esperanza. Well, that was Esperanza. Now, its a totally different case. We will improve the previous aspects of Esperanza, and use it in Phoenix. What that is not accepted in Esperanza, we shall change into a better one. We do not know until we try. And, we are not ready to try to start on this yet. The last time we tried, the page was deleted. Also, we are still trying to get more editors to help us while waiting for things to cool down. Hope this helps to clear your doubts about Phoenix. Contact me if you have any more umm...questions regarding Phoenix. Perhaps you could help us too? We are trying to help Wikipedia. I admit, we Esperazans had did wrong by limiting our activities to members only. Now, we Phoenix members will try to be open to all. Well if you want to leave me a message, just click on my 'crimsonwolf'. Its a shortcut to my talk page. I don't think that many people had found that out yet...anyway, cheers!
