I am a long-time student of consciousness, feminist, peace, anti-nuke, libertarian and decentralist activist, writer, songwriter and videographer. See CarolMoore.Net. I started editing Wikipedia in 2006 because Wiki articles on some of my favorite subjects came up so high on search engines and many of them were atrocious. I've barely begun to clean them all up!!
You can see all my Contributions. I'm over 2000 (4/8/08). I keep reviewing the Wikipedia:Five_pillars. Feel free to do so too!
January 2008: I want to congratulate the Wikipedia Arbitration Committee for coming up with this excellent statement on why Wikipedia must stay fair and balanced on various nationalist-related issues. See Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Palestine-Israel_articles.
April 2008: However, the new emphasis only had slowed down slightly, not stopped, much of the uncooperative and destructive WP:Gaming the system played by some partisan editors. Five were caught conspiring on a CAMERA list to subvert wikipedia's neutrality and booted for a year. What a soap opera.
[edit] Among the articles I have started are:
E.C. Riegel - Thomas H. Greco, Jr. - Voluntarism (action)
[edit] Among the articles I have made substantial edits to are:
Carol Moore (Note: In 2003 someone created an article about me, but it included a lot of POV and inaccurate info (i.e., I wish I had all those "followers" so they'd send me money, but alas, I do not!) After suffering with it for a few years, I started WIKI editing and cut it down to bare bones, per WIKI guidelines (once I figured them out), and added one very important factoid. When references were questioned, I put in a bunch. Now they are trying to decide if I'm notable enough. Whatever!)
Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad - Arab lobby in the United States - Arun Manilal Gandhi - DC Anti-War Network - Richard A. Falk - Spencer Heath - Sonia Johnson - Israel Lobby in the United Kingdom - Spencer MacCallum - Pacifism - Pacifism as Pathology: Notes on an American Pseudopraxis - Panarchy - Panarchism - James Petras - Kirkpatrick Sale - Self-determination - Secession - Second Vermont Republic - Separatism - Street fighting - Freda Utley - Violence
[edit] Among the articles I have made smaller but important changes to are:
Alternative currency - Gilad Atzmon - Bob Barr - Louis René Beres - Ward Churchill - Civil disobedience - Susan Estrich - Freedom's Watch - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi - Israel and nuclear weapons - Jewish Lobby - League of the South - Libertarianism - Libertarian perspectives on abortion - Lobbying - Russell Means - Nonviolence - Nonviolent Resistance - Nuclear weapons and Israel - Nuclear weapons and the United States - Norwegian rocket incident - Paleoconservative - Private defense agency - Republic of Lakota - Samson Option - The Samson Option (book) - Satyagraha - Thomas Rowley - Lew Rockwell - Separatist feminism - US House Resolution 1955 - Waco Siege - WP:reliable sources - Boris Yeltsin
