Talk:Caroline Leaf (learning specialist)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dear Editors,
I have deleted all information regarding Dr. Caroline's products or company, and would be willing to comply with whatever other regulations are necessary. I believe that Dr. Caroline's learning technique, the "metacognative mapping approach" is a new concept that will be interesting to many people.
Regards, Amy
P.S. I do not know how to type a tilde. Please advise.
- Please send this to WP:AFD if it needs to be discussed further. For a tilde, use the shift-accent mark next to the number 1. Bearian (talk) 17:58, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

- This seems to indicate some notability; enough not to speedy, in my opinion. Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 18:03, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Amy!
- First things first: On a standart Qwerty keyboard the tilde is the top left most key under Escape, next to the number 1. If you cant type it, you can scroll down and click the four tildes next to Sign your username. This will add the tildes to the article.
- On the article:
- Depending on the nature of the article, several guidelines must be met: If the article is mainly a biography of misses leaf, the Rules for Biography for living persons must be met. Also, the person being the subject of the biography must have a certain amount of notability This is to prevent the addition of random people with no encyclopedic value to Wikipedia.
- If the subject of the article is the learning technique you mentioned, it must comply to the WP:NOR rules. WP:NOR can be summed up as: No origional research is allowed, which means that only generally accepted research can be added as being encyclopedic. If this a new technique, if would violate the rules on research, meaning it can not be added until it gains some industry acceptance.
- I know this seems like a lot of rules, and i agree, there are a lot of them around. In fact, biographies on living persons are the most rule-intensive articles on wikipedia, as living persons could be easily violated with wrong information. If you need any help concerning the rules, The writing of the article (If notable, i can't judge that unless there are no claims at all) or the formatting of the article (Such as references, layout) feel free to drop me a note on my User page.
