[edit] Worst station in Britain?

Wasn't Carnforth voted the worst station in Britain a few years ago (before the refurbishment)? I've been searching the web for confirmation of the fact, as it would be a useful fact to include (I used it many times and can confirm that it was in a dire state), but the best I can find is this site, which doesn't give enough information to count as a reliable source. -- Blisco 15:21, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I cannot help with an actual vote but I absolutely agree with your view that the station was in an appalling dilapidated state during the 1990s when I first visited it. Not now. Its potential having been realised, it has become one of the best value-for-money tourist attractions in the north west and I thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit. --Jim Hardie (talk) 20:33, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
