Talk:Carlton Players, Birkenhead
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've tagged this for rewrite. first off it's about their theater and not the players. And two: it sounds like it was taken from a web page but I can't find it. I removed some of the fluff and actually wrote that it was in England rather than 'this country', but it still needs a trmeendous amount of work.
If someone knows about the subject then starting from scratch and doing a rewrite might be justified. If someone wrote this and it isn't a copyvio then I profusely apologize RJFJR 02:18, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Carlton Players, Birkenhead.
Having previously been a member of The Carlton Players, I found this page highly illuminating in respect of both the history of the building and the dramatic society. I find the two aforementioned subjects inseperable, taking into consideration that there would not be a theatre without the dramatic society and its given audiences. Would it not be simpler to title the page thus: The Carlton Little Theatre,Birkenhead. Martin Ward
Please don't delete or merge with Birkenhead. Definitely notable. I confess to a family connection POV here, but this group and their theatre are part of the history of Birkenhead and the Wirral. How many other amateur groups in the UK have developed and maintained their own theatre for so long? That's not rhetorical btw, I really don't know! The article contains lots of fascinating stuff, but needs much more to bring it up to scratch. I agree with Martin (above) that the Players and the Theatre building are so interconnected that a common article seems best, with redirects or whatever. I'll talk to someone about improvements and come back here soon. SophieCat 02:46, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
