To the person who added the "picture" of the Carlton Centre: Thank you for adding to this particular page. However, the photo shown is NOT of the Carlton Centre, but it is of the Sanlam Centre (blue & white stripes) and KwaDukuza Egoli Hotel (blue glass building). [edit] Businesses abandon downtown Joburg
This article politely avoids the a topic that is unpopular with the government — the impact that crime is having on businesses in Johannesburg. The high crime rate in the downtown area, combined with other factors, has prompted businesses to relocate.
