Talk:Carlos Oliveira
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Does anyone think that he might be one of the 6 (at least my six) Possible people in re5: I think the main char. might be : Carlos, Chris, HUNK, Barry, Billy Coen from RE0, or a new character, which i doubt. But do yall think it might be him, and why??? (Phoenix 19:20, 12 March 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Name
Should it be added to the "In Other Media" section that his surname in the film was spelled "Olivera" and not "Oliveira"? I think its sort of significant and adds to the idea that Carlos in the game and movie are almost completely separate characters. -Lindsey8417 00:13, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- You can add it as long as you can cite sources to support the statement --TBC☆O M G! 02:06, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Carlos as one of the main characters?
It's nothing against him, but since he was only in RE3, not appeared in any other game, and not even has an epilogue in RE3 niether is mentioned in any other, I hardly believe that Carlos could be considered as one of the main characters, in fact, Sherry Birkin and Steve Burnside seems to be more relevant than him, since it's more probably that they'll return eventually, while Carlos may not. For that I'm moving him to the Secondary Character Section, if someone has to object, please say something here. Alexander. 18/7. 2006
- I really have no objectifications about moving him to the secondary character section, but I believe the reason he was put as a main character is because he was in the films as well as the games, making him significant enought to be featured in both. (even though he was only in one game.) -15:49, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Origin
I would like to know exactly where an official source says that Carlos is brazilian. This is never mentioned in the game, he's just usually referred to as south american. Granted, Oliveira is a portuguese name and Brazil is the only portuguese language country in south America, but I have yet to see any official reference. --Arislan 10:29, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Carlos Oliveira is a Portuguese name, and he is stated as South American. That logically leads to the assumption he's Brazilian.
But if you want evidence so much, you could probably find it if you dug into Capcom's information about RE3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.196.129.236 (talk) 23:58, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion
I think this article should be deleted or at least be more summarized. The character only appears in one part of the series and is not a major character. Kamrein L. Laemmle 00:15, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
