[edit] Notability

Can someone please explain to me the notability of this person ? I have read the article, and it seems he is not even a GM ? SyG 08:11, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

  • He played in two Chess Olympiads. This would appear to meet the WP:BIO criterion for athletes: "Competitors who have played or competed at the highest level in amateur sports (who meet the general criteria of secondary sources published about them)." Quale 08:27, 15 September 2007 (UTC) (That being said, this is a bio that I wouldn't be in a rush to write myself. Once it's here, however, if it were supported by WP:RS sources I wouldn't delete it either.) Quale 08:32, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
