From the article:

...a German author best known for his short story "Leiningen Versus the Ants"...

The problem is, was he known for anything else? Is there any evidence that Stephenson actually existed? If he was a lifelong German, why was the Nazi-era story apparently written in English? Surely this is just a one-off pen-name? -- 68.146.220.249 (talk) 00:35, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
