Dear Caribana Festival Contributors, I am pleased to announce the start of a new Wiki website specifically for Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It is being operated under GFDL licence and a thread of this article has just started there. We are trying to maintain completeness and integrity of the original article and also referencing it. There is also a Caribana celebration in Barbuda. And this article needs to not focus on Canada -- either split into separate articles by country, or make a general article covering all of them. Tuf-Kat 18:54, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm in Boston, so word hasn't reached here yet via the Caribbean community, but is it true that this year Caribana has been renamed the "Toronto Caribbean Festival?" And the Caribbean Cultural Committee's name changed to the Festival Management Committee??? source: Toronto Star- CaribDigita 22:14, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

What about any talk about more of the problems with the event? Isn't there usually one death or more each year as a result of the festivities?
This statement is absolutely untrue. On average there is no more crime associated with this event than there is with any other large scale event in the city. It is clear from this statement that this person has never attend the parade.
It is not a statement, simply a question. There is no need to attempt to anwser a quaestion with such a snide attitude
