[edit] Caramoan National Park, Gota beach

I added this, since it PUTS this poor town in Europe's map: The 8th season of “Survivor-France” (French edition of “Survivor),” to be viewed by 10 million TV viewers in Europe and Canada, was shot entirely on Caramoan’s white-sand beaches. TV director Corinne Vaillant, stated that "the powdery sand, the coconuts on Gota beach and the neighboring islets are a 'dream' for the French people. We chose Caramoan because it’s really wide. It’s necessary that contestants don’t see anything other than nature for them to believe that they’re really lost in the wilds.” There are 73 foldaway cabanas at Gota beach, from China and worth P 60,000 each, and 20 regular-sized cabanas. “Survivor-France” paid the provincial government P 20 million for the exclusive use of Caramoan’s beaches. Caramoan National Park, specifically Gota beach, covers 298 hectares, and Camarines sur is implementing a P 200-million development plan in Caramoan, which included road networking and the construction of an airport.Inquirer.net, 4th-class town well on the way to celeb status--Florentino floro (talk) 10:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
