Purpose of use

To illustrate one of the many occurrences of the Tattooed Man (symbolic representation of one of the most evil characters in the show) and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in Carnivàle in the production process (storyboarding). This illustration is helpful to both the general reader (both of these things are fictional/not real and central for understanding the mythology) and people familiar with the subject (storyboard image that they may not have seen).
