This category is for the listing of subcategories of professional (and important amateur) players of carom billiards (all variants, such as three-cushion, straight-rail, etc., and the hybrid carom/pocket game English billiards, which has its own subcategory), and for general-resource articles relating to this topic that are not national/regional or game-specific in nature. No individuals' articles should appear in this category, only in a more specific subcategory. This category should not be forked into separate subcategories for three-cushion, straight-rail, etc. (with the exception of the game 'English billiards'), as it is very uncommon for players of one to not compete in the others (again, with the exception of English billiards).
