[edit] History

The school opened September 15, 1965 and is named for Dr. Carson Graham.

[edit] Academics

Carson Graham was ranked 191st in the Fraser Institute annual ranking of schools in 2004/05[2]. Although this may seem low, this is not a good reflection of the students academics in the school. This is because this study only focuses on the students test scores. For an example of how this could result in a misinterpretation of a schools academic level is this: one school could be teaching things that are above the students comprehension level, the students do not understand the subject matter, and thus get low test scores, giving the impression the schools academics are low. Then another school could be teaching easy subject matter that the students understand, thus giving them high test scores, and the appearance that they are the better school where in reality, the other school previously mentioned is a better school. Carson Graham has a wide variety of electives, the most in its district, making it easy for the students to look into what career they would desire to do later in life.

Carson Graham was attended by many prominent individuals, including Mazdak Mohammadi, adopted son of former esteemed teacher Jim Martin; voted best smile 08'.
