Carson Beach, South Boston

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carson Beach is a public beach in the South Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It is maintained by the state's Department of Conservation and Recreation. The bathhouse has been recently renovated.[1] Though in the mid-90s, the water quality was unswimmable to the point where the beach had to be shut down, water is now clean and approved for swimming.[2] The beach is a part of a three-mile segment of parks along the South Boston shoreline.[3]

The closest subway stop is the JFK/UMass station on the Red Line, approximately a half mile away.
