Cars Land is a new land that will be added to Disney's California Adventure that is now in its concept and development phase. This 12-acre land will be built as part of the recently announced $1 billion expansion plan for DCA on what is now the Timon Parking Lot behind the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and a bug's land. Cars Land will immerse guests into a world inspired from the Disney/Pixar Cars, playing to America's love affair with automobiles. This land will have new dining and shopping venues as well as 3 new attractions. One will be a major "E-ticket" attraction called Radiator Springs Racers, which places guests right in the middle of the Cars world of Mater, Lightning McQueen, Doc, and Sally. Radiator Springs Racers will take it's guests on a hair-raising race around hairpin turns and steep banks much similar to the ride, Test Track located in Epcot in Walt Disney World. Two other family attractions featuring Luigi and Mater will be built as well.
