Carrusel Deportivo (literally Sports Carousel) is an Spanish sports program. It is part of the Cadena SER. It is directed and presented by Paco González and Pepe Domingo Castaño. The most important events and games ara covered by Manolo Lama. Carrusel Deportivo is, alongside Hoy por hoy, the emblem of the Cadena SER.
The program is emitted on Saturdays (from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM) and on Sundays (from 3:30 to 11:00 PM), covering all the football (soccer) games of the Spanish La Liga and analyzing the most important sports news of the day. Carrusel Deportivo also covers the matches of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup and the matches of Spain.
One of the main features of Carrusel Deportivo are the style of the advertisements. Rather than playing pre-recorded advertisements, Pepe Domingo Castaño and the rest of the collaborators make up the advertisements on air, usually in a humorous fashion and making appropriate use of slogans, gimmicks and catchphrases to make them memorable.
