Carrot2 is a search results clustering engine and an open source project developed by Stanisław Osiński and Dawid Weiss.

The project's goals are to organize search results automatically into sensible and useful clusters (groups of related documents). Several algorithms are available in the system, most notably the Lingo algorithm.

[edit] Commercial Spin-off

Commercial spin off of the Carrot2 project is a company called Carrot Search. It provides more efficient and powerful versions of the open source text mining algorithms available in the Carrot2 project while still maintaining the latter.
