Carripook railway station, Adelaide

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carripook station was 36.380 km (22m72ch) by rail from Adelaide Railway Station on the now closed Bridgewater line.

It was located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Bridgewater, South Australia, to the east of the Kain Ave level crossing.

It consisted merely of a platform, 67.1 metres in length, and a shelter shed. A reserve is located right next to the station, but lacks interest by local residents. The station lasted well after passenger service on this line stopped in 1987. It was probably demolished around 1995 when the railway line was converted from broad to standard gauge.
