Carrie Olver (born 1967) is a Canadian TV personality.

[edit] Life and career

Olver is a native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Toronto. Fergie Olver, her father, worked at CFTO-TV as a broadcaster for close to two decades on Toronto Blue Jays telecasts and a game show called Just Like Mom, which became the longest running game show in Canadian history.

Carrie Olver's career began in 1990 on Canadian home shopping channels, before she moved to the American Home Shopping Network, where she worked in the US for over 2000 hours. From 1998, she hosted Spectacular Spas, a half-hour travel program where she would visit some of the world's top spas. She would often find herself in a bikini for some swimming, on a massage table for a world-class treatment or eating meals prepared by a gourmet chef.

For Spectacular Spas, Carrie was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2003 for the program in the category Best Host or Interviewer in a Lifestyle/General Interest Program or Series, but lost to Debbie Travis.

She can now be seen on The Weather Network weekday mornings. She is a second generation TV broadcaster.
