Carrick is a small town in northern Tasmania about 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of Launceston on the Liffey River, and on the 'Old Bass Highway' or Meander Valley Highway. At the 2001 census, the town had a population of 317.[1]
Nearby locations include Bishopsbourne, Longford and Hadspen. Carrick has a small general store, and plays host to a number of events including Agfest (an agricultural festival) and the Carrick speedway.
