Carrara is a suburb of the Gold Coast, Australia located on the southern bank of the Nerang River.
It is most known as being the home of Carrara Stadium, the purpose built cricket and Australian rules football ground and the Carrara Markets.
The name Carrara comes from the Aboriginal word 'Karara' meaning 'long flat'.[1]
