Carpineti is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 km west of Bologna and about 30 km southwest of Reggio Emilia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,257 and an area of 89.6 km².[1]
The municipality of Carpineti contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bera, Branciglia, and .
