Carpenter Avenue Elementary School is a public K-5 elementary school in Los Angeles, California.
Carpenter Avenue is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school is in Studio City and currently has about 900 students enrolled. The school was opened in 1924 under the same name and in the same location.
Although it never had a highly gifted magnet program, it did until recently have a program for highly gifted students. The current principal is Linda Parth and the assistant principal is Sandy Hartshorn.

The school recently had a newer, larger library built complete with Internet connection and computers for research. A new YMCA bungalow was put in to replace the older one and a set of bungalows were added for kindergarten classes. There is a grass field, two basketball courts, 6 handball courts, two kickball fields, and a fairly new jungle gym.

In 1997, Principal Joan Marks was arrested for possession of Marijuana on campus. She plead guilty to the charges and served 200 hours of community service. She did not return as principal
