Carpenter's Home Church

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carpenter's Home Church (CHC) was a megachurch in Lakeland, Florida, United States. It is based on the charismatic Christian faith. The property contains a full-sized football field and parochial school.

The main auditorium built by Roe Messner seats 10,000 people, and is often used for large-scale Christian music concert, specifically Christian rock. Because of its unique location between Tampa, Florida and Orlando, Florida, it draws from both markets. Many contemporary Christian artists have performed at Carpenter's Home Church, including Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, The Newsboys, Plus One, Skillet, Audio Adrenaline, OC Supertones, TobyMac, Petra, and Zoegirl, among others.

The property no longer belongs to "Carpenter's Home Church" directly, as it was purchased by Without Walls Church, from Tampa. Rather, Carpenter's Home Church now consists of several smaller churches. Carpenter's Home was once a thriving Charismatic church with five thousand attendees, but now down to 1000.
