Carpathian is a hardcore[1] band from Melbourne, Australia. Half of the band members are Straight edge[1]. The band played the 2007 Australian Taste of Chaos, alongside The Used, Rise Against, Aiden, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Bled, and Gallows. They were also in the 2008 line-up for the Australian Soundwave Festival and the 2008 Killerfest in New Zealand.
The band have had frequent line-up changes over the past few years, replacing two guitarists in late 2006[2]. Former I Killed The Prom Queen singer Michael Crafter joined Carpathian in 2006 soon after the release of their debut album Nothing to Lose. Vocalist Martin Kirby then moved to guitar, although Crafter left seven months later in February 2007, after which Kirby resumed his position as frontman[3].
