Carpark North is a Danish electropop band, consisting of Lau Højen (guitar/vocals), Søren Balsner and Morten Thorhauge.
With their debut album, Carpark North (2004), they gave new life to Danish electropop. This album was produced by Joshua, also known as Jon Schumann, who has also produced albums for Kashmir and Mew. It included the single "Transparent and Glasslike", which became a big hit.
Their second album, titled All Things to All People (2005), revived what was thought to be a paused (or even dead) band, and yet again Carpark North reached the top of the Danish hit lists.
In June 2007, the band announced on their website that they had been "working on new art"[1], and in December 2007, announced a mini-tour in April 2008 where they would be playing new material, hinting that their third album would have a 2008 release.
