Caroline Myss (pronounced mace) is an American medical intuitive[1] and mystic as well as the author of numerous books and audio tapes, including three New York Times Best Sellers: Anatomy of the Spirit (1998), Why People Don't Heal and How They Can (1998), and Sacred Contracts (2002). She has also been on the The Oprah Winfrey Show, many times, since her first appearance in 2002 [1], besides hosting a show at Oxygen (TV network) also co-owned by Oprah Winfrey [2].

Myss holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana, and a master's degree in theology from Mundelein College. She also claims to hold a Ph.D in "intuition and energy medicine",[3][4] but the degree was granted by Greenwich University, a now-defunct correspondence school that was never accredited to deliver higher education awards by any recognized government accreditation authority.[5] She has collaborated extensively with Dr. Norman Shealy, an M.D. schooled at Harvard.[1] She tours internationally as a speaker on spirituality and mysticism [6], and lives in Chicago [7].
