[edit] History
In 2008, the Giants advanced to the league's "Super 6" semifinals. Ansel Guzmán, the team's regular point guard received the league's Most Valuable Player Award on June 11, 2008.[1] The team earned a lead in this phase and came close to receiving a guaranteed spot in the league's final by defeating the Santurce Crabbers in the final stages of the "Super 6".[2] The Giants entered this seris with only two games left for qualification.[3] However Santurce won the second game with score of 99-83.[4]
