Carole Simpson was an American television news anchor at ABC News.
Simpson joined ABC in 1982, and the anchor of the Sunday edition of World News Tonight from 1988 until October 2003.
Simpson was the moderator of the second presidential debate held between Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, at Richmond, Virginia in 1992.
In 2008, Simpson was the Schwartz visiting fellow at the Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut.
In March 2008, she was identified on a segment of Larry King Live as a supporter of the Presidential campaign of Senator Hillary Clinton.
