[edit] Recent Controversies

In January 2006, Pateman was involuntarily ensnared in the Bruin Alumni Association's controversial "Dirty Thirty" project which purported to name UCLA's most politically extreme professors. Pateman, named #24 on the list, was described as such: "This hardcore feminist offers a typical blend of personal and professional activism. With a properly timed letter-to-the-editor, or an inflammatory public speech, Pateman could move higher."
