[edit] Career
Malone has hosted her own light hearted court show, Guilty, on Sky One from 1997 to 1999 and has been a panellist on such shows as Loose Women and The Wright Stuff. In 2006, she appeared on the ITV reality show, Celebrity Fit Club. She was made team captain of Bobby, Sharon and Micky, and lost three stone.
More recently, Malone was the seventh celebrity housemate to enter Celebrity Big Brother UK in January 2007 and was second to be evicted from the Big Brother House, on Friday, 12 January 2007. Arguably her eviction triggered the "race row" as she had assumed a maternal role among the younger women and was keeping the growing tension under control. In interviews after her appearance on Big Brother, commenting on the current accusations of racism in the house, she concludes that the attacks were motivated by "jealousy" over Shilpa's beauty and success.[2] On eviction, she was forced to reveal her true age after the Daily Mirror pointed out to readers that she had not been truthful.[3]
In March and April 2007 she stood in for Kaye Adams as the anchor of Loose Women, along with Jackie Brambles, while Kaye was on maternity leave. Carole continues to be a regular panellist on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff. Carole also has a regular slot on ITV's The Alan Titchmarsh Show.
In October 2007, it was announced that Carole would be leaving her column at the Sunday Mirror after 10 years at the title, and moving to Britain's biggest Sunday newspaper, the News of the World to write a similar column.
Carole has also done some radio work on LBC.
