Carol Heller

Carol Heller is the former vocalist of the all-female Southern California punk band Get The Girl and electronica band Goodbye Radar. Get The Girl consisted of Janice Struna (guitar), Caryn Hoffert (bass), Kristen Bartkowski (drums) and Heller (guitar/vocals).

Heller was initially a vocalist and guitarist for the band +44 before the addition of guitarists Shane Gallagher and Craig Fairbaugh. Her vocals appear at the end of a rough mix of "No, It Isn't." She sings a duet with Mark Hoppus on the album track "Make You Smile" and backup vocals on the track "Weatherman." Rumors had been floating for some time about her status in the band and her absence on +44's Website's group photo may have been an indication that she was no longer part of the band. This was later confirmed by an MTV interview with Hoppus and Barker on July 21, 2006. According to Mark Hoppus, her desire to start a family and her appearance on only two tracks of the +44 album ("Weatherman" and "Make You Smile") are the reasons why she left the band, although she still keeps in close contact with him and Travis. On November 13th, during an interview with radio station DC 101, Mark stated that Carol left +44 to start a family with her husband and that she is now pregnant. When asked about the gender of her baby, she simply stated that it was to be a surprise.
