Carol Hansell

Carol Hansell sits on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada. She studied at the University of Western Ontario (B.A. in History 1981), then did an MA in International Relations at the University of Toronto in 1982 and then rose to success after taking the MBA/LLB degree at the prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business, both of York University in Toronto in 1986. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada in October 2006.
She is also Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA's) Corporate Governance Committee, Special Canadian Advisor to the ABA's Committee on Corporate Laws, and Special Advisor to the Task Force on the Independence of the Bar established by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
