Carnival of the Animals is a ballet made by Christopher Wheeldon on New York City Ballet to eponymous music by Camille Saint-Saëns. The narration was written by John Lithgow, who also performed in the premiere, which took place on May 14, 2003, at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.
