Carnate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 25 km northeast of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,486 and an area of 3.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Carnate contains the frazione (subdivision) Passirano.
Carnate borders the following municipalities: Osnago, Lomagna, Ronco Briantino, Usmate Velate, Bernareggio, Vimercate.
